About us

A vibrant future, built on rich heritage

Our journey began in 2005 when Harry Weeks Travel (HWT) launched the Evolvi system, the first online self-booking tool dedicated to UK rail. Designed by travel professionals with corporate travelers in mind, it quickly became a success.

Evolvi not only simplified the complex UK fares system but also provided travel management companies and their clients with a comprehensive suite of management tools, including policy setting, compliance, and detailed reporting.

Over the years, we have grown to become the leading name in online corporate rail booking with our self-booking tool. Additionally, we’ve expanded into new markets with our rail API, partnering with some of the most prominent brands in international travel.

2005

Evolvi is founded

Founded with the mission to revolutionise train ticketing, the company started as a small team of industry experts looking to streamline railway booking systems through technology.

2008

First Evolvi API launches

EvolviWS launches, offering API capability. This year we also launched TOD functionality and ITX fares for tour operators.

2012

Basket functionality is launched

This allows for multiple items to be held in the basket, and is swiftly followed by automated refunds.

2015

Ticket fulfilment methods are increased further

mTickets, PlusBus and Season Tickets (via a punch out) are added. This is followed by eTickets in 2017 and Google Wallet passes in 2023.

2017

Profile integration completed

Customer profiles are fully integrated, with Premium and Promotion Policies added in 2021.

2020

Seatfrog integration added

Our partnership with Seatfrog enables upgrade opportunities to travellers.

2023

Split Ticketing is launched

Our market leading split ticketing module is launched allowing up to 9 splits.

Darren joined Evolvi in August 2024 with a focus on customer satisfaction, technical innovation and product delivery. He held a number of operations, sales and distribution roles at Eurostar, and was more recently Commercial Director at Omio in charge of all European rail and coach content.

Andy joined Evolvi in 2021 after a 20-year tenure at a Global TMC, where he held various roles, including managing client implementations onto the Evolvi system. At Evolvi, he leads the client support team, addressing day-to-day client queries and, as part of the Senior Management Team, contributes to the development of new features on the Evolvi platform.

Initially a developer, Dawn has been managing Evolvi’s development for many years, delighting in adding a wealth of functionality, driving the system forwards to provide our customers with the tools they need, and to keep the system industry compliant.
